STREET SWEEPING UPDATE
The Street Sweeping program will resume on Monday, May 5. Those that have street sweeping the first Thursday (5/1) and Friday (5/2), the street sweeping day is moved to Thursday, May 8 and Friday, May 9. It is important to remove debris from the streets for both safety and preventing harmful materials from entering the stormwater system. By moving your vehicle off the street, the street sweeper can access the entire street and gutters to remove the debris and also remove blockages from the stormwater drains to allow for enhanced flow.
There will be no tickets issued for the month of May. We ask residents to move their vehicles as they would on the designated street sweeping day.
PARK UPDATE
Beggs Snyder Park & Hillsdale Park are both open to the public! Dormont Park remains closed until further notice due to numerous utility poles and extensive downed power lines from the recent storm.
DUMPSTER TO BE AVAILABLE 5/5
If you experienced food spoilage or household waste due to the recent power outage, a roll-off dumpster will be available for residential use starting Monday, May 5 at the Dormont Pool Lot.
This dumpster is designated to help residents safely dispose of spoiled refrigerator/freezer contents and other storm-related household waste. Please take advantage of this service to ensure a clean and healthy recovery after the storm and save a little room for your neighbors!
* Yard waste will not be accepted at this dumpster. As a reminder, Waste Management will be collecting yard waste next week and it is also bulk pick-up week.
