Dormont Day / July 4th Fireworks

Final preparations are underway for Dormont Day. If you’ve looked at the weather forecast at all, you know that inclement weather is possible – so the borough is already working on a Plan B if it becomes necessary to make any changes.

On the agenda for the day:

9 AM – 21 Gun Salute, done by Zambelli Fireworks in Dormont Park

11 AM – DABA Foot Races and Water Balloon Toss at Pop Murray Field

6 PM – Food and Drink Vendors Open in the Pool Parking Lot – including Cool Treats, Kona Ice Truck, Tom’s Diner on Wheels, and Back Alley Brewing Company

7 PM — Buttermilk Tasting in the Pool Parking Lot

7 PM – Raised by Giants performs in the Pool Parking Lot

8:15 PM – Gold Mountain Music All Star Band performs in the Pool Parking Lot

9:35 PM – Zambelli Fireworks Show from Dormont Park

There are still some grab bags available. Stop by the borough building, or Dormont Pool, to buy yours today – $5 each. Didn’t get yours in time? Lifeguards will staff the Grab Bag table during the event, so please stop by and purchase any last items remaining and say hello while you’re there.
