The Borough of Dormont Stormwater Authority Dormont Park TMDL Project (Retention Tanks), which will be underneath the future playground, is commencing with the concrete retention structures already on site. This project includes the installation of concrete underground detention facilities with storm sewer pipes, catch basins, and connections to the existing storm sewer system. The project is scheduled to be completed this fall in the area adjacent to the Pop Murray Field and restrooms in Dormont Park. The future playground’s construction is slated for 2026. Concrete was selected for these structures to support any necessary playground footers.
