Borough of Dormont Welcomes New Manager

Dormont, PA – The Borough of Dormont is excited to announce the hiring of John Stinner for Borough Manager.
This role is responsible for the oversight of operations in the Borough of Dormont. Stinner has over eight years of experience in municipal management and has twelve years in public service including serving as a Congressional District Manager in the United States House of Representatives. With his expansive and diverse experience, Stinner brings a strong background and knowledge to this role. He mostly recently served in municipal management roles in Jefferson Hills and Blawnox.
Council President Jennifer Mazzocco said of the hire, “I’m so excited to welcome John as our new borough manager. His experience is unparalleled, but we were especially impressed by his passion for public service and desire to work in a place like Dormont.” She continued on to say, “I’m looking forward to what we’ll be able to accomplish under his leadership!”
Borough Manager John Stinner shared his excitement of managing the Borough of Dormont, “There is no other community in Allegheny County I would rather manage. I’m excited to get to work making the community a better place than it already is.”
John Stinner officially started in the position on Monday, September 9, 2024.
