Dormont Goes Green 2026

“Dormont Goes Green” event is back for 2026! This Arbor Day celebration and education event that will take place immediately following Dormont’s Annual Spring Litter Clean Up Event on Sunday, April 26 (Litter sign-up: tinyurl.com/DormontCleanUp2026).

Dormont Goes Green is happening this Sunday from 11am-1pm following the Spring Litter Clean Up (tinyurl.com/DormontCleanUp2026). At this event, residents & attendees can meet with a variety of organizations interested in providing sustainable solutions! See below for a list and info about each organization participating! Dormont Bird Town and BirdLab – The Bird Town Committee and BirdLab will host booths with information, activities, and giveaways. Attendees can also pick up a free native plant garden plan tailored for small Dormont yards and shop a special native plant sale, including second-year plants.

Dormont Stormwater Authority – Dormont Stormwater is committed to Completing stormwater management projects, Controlling sediment, contaminants, and pollutants, Implementing state and federal clean water regulations, Facilitating public education and public involvement  and Improving the water quality of the Saw Mill Run Watershed and the Ohio River. The Board members and management team will be at the event to talk about our mission and projects.  

Michael Brothers – Founded on the principles of reliability and sustainability, Michael Brothers has been serving the community with top-notch debris management solutions for almost 50 years. Their mission is to provide efficient, eco-friendly services that meet the diverse needs of their clients while fostering a cleaner environment.

Dormont Arts – A local Dormont organizations that engages and unites the community by cultivating creative experiences of art, nature and music. They’ll be hosting a seed planting activity to kickstart your spring garden!
