The Dormont Stormwater Authority is sponsoring: “A Resident’s Guide to Rain Gardens” on Saturday, June 25 from 12pm-2pm in Hillsdale Park.
Why rain gardens?
Rain gardens beautify your property and help prevent stormwater overflows by retaining and absorbing stormwater into the groundwater aquifers. While an individual rain garden may seem like a small thing, collectively they can divert substantial amounts of water from the Borough’s stormwater system. Join the Dormont Stormwater Authority to learn how to design, install, and maintain a rain garden on your residential property.
Event features: Great speakers, great information, food and refreshments, rain barrel raffle, and a tour of a fully operating rain garden.
