The Traffic and Parking Planning Commission (TPPC) consists of seven members appointed by Borough Council. The TPPC evaluates and reviews issues related to traffic and parking in the Borough and makes recommendations to the Borough Council. Examples of issues discussed and reviewed include crosswalks, stop signs, line of sight at intersections, street parking review. One such recommendation from 2020 included signage to mitigate collisions at the intersections of Latonia Avenue & Peermont Avenue and Latonia Avenue & Biltmore Avenue.

This group meets once per month, the 3rd Monday from 6:00pm-7:00pm. There are a few topics in which some additional research outside of the meeting time is necessary to further discussion and recommendations.

If you have a passion or interest in any of these topics, please consider attending the meeting on Monday, January 18th at 6pm. The zoom link will be posted on our website at boro.dormont.pa.us If you are unable to attend and still want to apply for an open position, please send your resume to Ben Estell at BEstell@boro.dormont.pa.us.

The Borough of Dormont is committed to having diverse representation on our resident led Boards and Commissions.  We encourage people from all walks of life, with wide-ranging experiences and perspectives, to consider participating in the civic life of the Borough through these advisory bodies.
