Dormont Summer Camp is cancelled for the summer of 2020

We are disappointed to inform you the Dormont Summer Camp has been cancelled in entirety for the summer of 2020. 

Over the past few months, staff has worked tirelessly, following press conferences, reviewing guidelines, attending online meetings with camps across the state, all in an effort to find a way that we could safely run our summer camp program. Unfortunately, after reviewing Centers for Disease Control Guidelines, PA Department of Health Guidelines, Allegheny County Guidelines, and other best practices, and based on our camp’s facility limitations and camp structure, it has been determined that we would be unable to meet all of the guidelines set forth to offer a positive and safe camp environment.

Please know that the safety, health and well-being of our campers, staff and community was our guiding priority throughout this process. And while this is disappointing for both you and your campers, it is also disappointing for our staff. 

As soon as possible, we will begin issuing refunds which should arrive in 2-3 weeks.

Please stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you back next summer.

Registration Information:

*Please note that a non-refundable deposit of $10.00 per week is required to hold space for each child registered. A camp slot is not confirmed until this deposit is received. Full payment, or cancellation notice, for each week of camp must be received by the Borough of Dormont no later than 4:30pm EST the Thursday prior to the start of each registered week of camp. If payment is not received by then, a $25.00 late payment fee will be added at the time of late payment. If cancellation notice is not given by then, full fees will be charged or and the spot will be made available to other registrants.  If those fees aren’t paid, you will forfeit the rest of your spots.

Registration Instructions after following the link:
1) Create an Account

2) Click Here to register 

3) Select at the bottom either: pay taxes or reside within Borough of Dormont; Attend Keystone Oak School District or; Non-Resident*; 

4) If selecting either “Pay Taxes in the Borough of Dormont” or “Attend Keystone Oak School District”, after finishing online registration, and before selecting camp weeks,  please call 412-561-8900 to let us know to that we should go in and verify+.  Residency must be verified- once completed with “click here to register”, call 412-561-8900 and the office can verify your residency.

5) Once verified, go to Catalog – select Dormont Summer Camps; Select week, if you want more than 1 week, select continue registering until you selected all weeks wanted (you may have to add child if you didn’t do so earlier)

You will be required to pay a $10 non-refundable deposit for each week selected.  If selecting late pick-up, that fee is due at time of sign up.  You may select this at an another time if you are unsure if you will require late pick-up.
